NewHopeMUSH Timeline

Note: NewHopeMUSH operates on an alternate timeline. This timeline diverts from established canon lore, and some things may differ slightly or completely from the established lore.

Also, it should be noted that some of what is listed here is not known at all in the IC world, classified, or only known by a few people. As such, only roleplay knowing what your character would logically know for his station (EG: A civilian would not know everything a Captain in Starfleet would).

LT Clayton, age 31, is promoted to the rank of LTCDR, while remaining as the Chief Engineer of the USS. Nomad-B.

Divergence Point

With the help of a future Admiral Janeway, the USS Voyager returns to the Alpha Quadrant. (“Endgame”)
LTCDR Clayton receives reassignment orders for a special research assignment on a classified project.
The Federation begins classified research into the possibility of designing their own Mobile Emitter, slipstream drive, along with transphasic torpedoes, and other possible technologies.
The events of Star Trek: Nemesis, resulting in the death of Lieutenant Commander Data.
Discovery of previously unknown Android named “B-4”, a prototype android similar in design to Lt. Commander Data but has a notably less advanced Positronic Network.
At age 35, after three years of working on the classified research project, LTCDR Clayton is promoted to CMDR and given the assignment of running the research projects.
The first test of the slipstream drive fails. Four casualties with five in critical care.
The research project is able to backwards engineer seven prototypes of the transphasic torpedoes.
A research scientist decides to experiment with the old solar platform plans. These platforms, instead of collecting energy from the sun, collect and recycle the energy from the planet and the starbase proper, moving the energy seamlessly back and forth, providing a symbolic relationship between the planet and Starbase 900, presenting the Starbase, the platforms, and the surface units with near-limitless energy.
Four years after the classified research, Starfleet finishes developing mobile holographic emitters. Tentative plans are made to begin releasing them to various flag ships within five years.
The second test of the slipstream drive also fails but shows the need for better shielding. CMDR Clayton comes up with the idea for using transphasic shielding in order to better shield from the phase variance and radiation.
Further tests prove that the slipstream drive must be larger in these inital stages. The plans for Starbase 900 go into production.
Initial tests of transphasic shielding prove a rounding success.
Numerous prototypes of transphasic torpedoes prove to be a success, and after further extensive testing, they are pronounced ready.
Construction begins of the first archetype of Starbase 900. The first archetype has 200 decks, due to the size of the slipstream drive.
Transphasic shielding is continued to be tested.
The transphasic torpedoes are moved out of prototype stage and begin mass production for Starbase 900.
Transphasic shielding is perfected and installed around the slipstream drive.
Further tests of the slipstream drive prove that, for the drive to be safe in a smaller form, a new type of ship must be designed to specifically house the slipstream drive. The design process of the Herald Class begins.
Construction of the first archetype of Starbase 900 is completed. It is tested and refitted accordingly.
Transphasic torpedoes are installed on Starbase 900.
Transphasic shielding, although previously already around the slipstream drive, is installed around Starbase 900 itself.
CMDR Clayton, age 40, is promoted to CAPT and given command over Starbase 900, while still being kept in charge of the classified research project.
The first ship of the Herald Class, The USS Harbinger, begins contruction.
January: A supernova threatens to destroy Romulus, and Spock requests aide from the Federation, in order to stop it.
March: The federation approves tentative plans to allow the just-finished Starbase 900 to use its experimental transphasic shields to protect and shield Romulus.
April: Starbase 900, under the command of Captain Neil Clayton, age 44, arrives at Romulus.
May: Starbase 900 is successful in its aid and Romulus is spared, saving the entire Romulan race.
June: Captain Neil Clayton returns Starbase 900 to its secret base of operations, in the Beta quadrant.
The construction of the USS Harbinger is completed.
Mid-June: A Romulan ambassador requests that a party, under the command of Captain Clayton, along with Worf, serving as Klingon Ambassador, with mediation by Ambassador Spock, attend a summit on Romulus.
From Mid-July to Late- September: Conferences take place on Romulus to discuss the Federation’s new technology. During this summit, certain concessions are granted. The result is the Treaty of Romulus between the three great powers of the quadrant:
0. A three-way mission to the Delta Quadrant is planned, with the Federation being nominated to head it.
1. The Federation will share the Slipstream technology with the Klingons and Romulans, once fully tested and proven safe, in
order to maintain the balance of power within the Alpha Quadrant.
2. The Federation is allowed immediate access to and design specifications of standard and phase-shifting cloaks for the
purposes of creation and implementation for a multitude of uses. The ban on Federation cloaking devices is lifted.
3. A formal statement of intention of alliance is drafted and signed by all parties, to be ratified in the near future.
4. On the condition that the formal three-way alliance passes, the Romulan Star Empire and Klingon Empire will be allowed and given quarters and embassies on Starbase 900, when the Delta Quadrant mission is launched.
5. The Klingon Empire requests to be part of the security teams during the Starbase 900 mission.
6. Both The Romulan Star Empire and Klingon Empire request separate colonization rights within the Delta Quadrant.
7. The Romulan Star Empire, Klingon Empire, and The Federation, are to immediately exchange temporary ambassadors upon completion of the summit, until such time as a formal ambassador is set or the point becomes moot.
Due to the ban of Federation cloaks being lifted, federation engineers begin making massive modifications to vessel plans and most Federation military vessels have full cloaking ability by 2414.

Multiple Herald-Class ships are constructed for constant travel between the Alpha and Delta Quadrants.

The mobile emitters are released to all flag ships. Each flag ship is given one mobile emitter, including The Enterprise.
Starbase 900 is set for a complete overhaul, to install various technologies (cloaking devices, etc). The first archetype is recycled for parts.
The USS. Harbinger is also set for a refit, but not as major as Starbase 900’s.
The energy collection and recycling platforms prove successful after a multitude of tests. Mass construction begins immediately.
Plans for two more types of vessels are proposed: The Penniless Merchant Ship and the Tondreau Shuttlecraft. Both are approved wholeheartedly and construction plans move forward.
Multiple Penniless-Class and Tondreau-Class vessels are constructed for their respective intended uses.
The USS. Harbinger is finished its refit.
The “Future” in the Star Trek: The Next Generation series finale (“All Good Things…”)
A formal alliance is signed between The Federation, The Klingon Empire, and The Romulan Star Empire. This is possible due in no small part of the Federation and Spock’s assistance in saving Romulus.
Due to a formal alliance between the United Federation of Planets, Romulan Star Empire, and the Klingon Empire, the Neutral Zone is abolished. The space that was the neutral zone remains unclaimed, guarded by the three super powers, for purposes of scientific cooperation and study. No colonization is to take place there, however, all three super powers of the alliance may travel through the region of space.
The construction of second (and current) Starbase 900 is completed. It is now 100 decks with more features and fire power.

25th Century

Captain Clayton, age 64, is promoted to full Admiral in preparation of for the Delta Quadrant mission. The experimental, classified, research division is handed over to another CO.
Due to the ban of Federation cloaks being lifted in 2388, most Federation military vessels have full cloaking ability by 2414.
Starbase 900, under the command of Admiral Neil Clayton, along with its support and defense ships, is launched towards the Delta Quadrant.
Due to the amount of ships and defense patterns, along with a full shakedown being required, Starbase 900 arrives over an M-Class Planet, named Tast by Starfleet, and begin colonization and claiming procedures.
Establishment of the Starbase 900 and claim over the unclaimed solar system is completed under the command of Admiral Clayton, age 82 as of 2428, along with meeting with the nearby Ocampans and other friendly races.
The second wave of Starfleet staff arrive on Starbase 900, someone of the first wave opt to remain, while the others of the first wave return home.
The Cardassian Union, rebuilding after losing the Dominion War, begins negotiations to join the Treaty of Romulus.
The first Alpha Quadrant civilians and third wave of Starfleet staff begin arriving, replacing the other personnel to relieve the stress of being so far from home.
The Cardassian Union enters the Treaty of Romulus as a provisional member, and begins to send personnel to join Starbase 900’s staff.
